What’s ‘backstage at this senior living community? A symphony of activity!

New Residents find their cadence at Cadence at Kent-Meridian

Cogir at Kent-Meridian officially opened on June 6, 2022, and they’ve definitely been busy since opening day!

“Sound the bells! Ring the alarms! Jump for joy! After such a long wait the day has come! We are so excited to welcome you into this beautiful community and show you all that Cadence Living has to offer,” says Executive Director Monica Rangel.

A symphony of programs, seven days a week

Residents of the new Cadence at Kent-Meridian senior living community enjoy life in the key of beautiful, and that means daily opportunities to engage in 10 dimensions of wellness.

Here’s a taste of the many events on June’s calendar:

  • INTUNE fitness including Chair Chi, mall walking, group fitness classes and open gym time with state of the art equipment including the fitness mirror.
  • NOMADS seminars on destinations around the world, documentaries and seminars in the spacious theater, plus group crosswords, jeopardy and trivia for daily brain teasers.
  • A Father’s Day celebration with a buffet, beverages and a signature cocktail by Chef Ray. The celebration of fathers and father figures included live entertainment by the Honky Tonk Sweethearts!
  • Friday shopping trips to Fred Meyer, plus other group shopping trips to Target, Carpinito Brothers Nursery and more! Residents also visited the oldest market in King County, the Kent Farmers Market. Established in 1974 with support from the Kent Lions & Foundation, the current market presents up to 100 vendors each Saturday from June to September.
  • Cadence at Kent-Meridian was a valued sponsor of the downtown Kent Wine Walk, and residents also took part in the June 10 event. Downtown Kent businesses featured wine tastings from select boutique Northwest wineries and chocolate samplings from Dilettante. Visitors explored the diverse flavors of Kent on the downtown “food trail”, including Sushi, African, Thai, Mexican, bistros, and pubs, plus live music, and wine tastings of course!
  • Furtissimo Ambassador Daisy the yellow lab takes regular pooch patrols to share love and smiles throughout Cadence at Kent-Meridian.

Whether you live at Cadence at Kent-Meridian or live somewhere else in the neighborhood, there are many opportunities to get involved! Volunteers are always welcome, and many events are open to friends, family and neighbors.
